Murdochs Invade Atlanta!!!!

It was a nice to have Debbie, Monty, and Carson come to visit us of the 4th. We had a nice relaxing weekend. We got to see Christy (Cavins) Escamilla, her husband Herbie, and their 2 beautiful kids Ethan and Ava. We took the boys to the park on Sunday. It was a lot of fun. We wrapped up the weekend with a trip to the pool and a tour around the schools. The boys got to terrorize the cat, play with trains, and brave the mosquitos while playing on the swing set in the back yard.

Two Days of Shampoo

Our big trip to Orlando took us to Sea World. The boys did a great job of riding around in thier cart seeing all the sights. We were joined by Aunt Debbie and Grand Uma. Shamu, was a great hit. Jayden was thrilled to see such a big fish do such great tricks. Of course, Jayden has renamed Shamu...Shampoo. We sat in the "Splash Zone" and I don't think any of us realized the water would be that cold. We were all very shocked. The second day it was just the Stubberts that went to Sea World. Jayden had a blast at the dolphin/whale show. I think the favorite souvenir was the Shamu lunch box he got with his lunch. We couldn't get it out of his hands for the rest of the day!
Now that is some whale!

Fun at the Beach

The beach turned out to be a perfect day. It wasn't too hot, the breeze was blowing, and a managed to only get burned slightly. Jayden was very concerned about the ocean water at first, so he was quite happy to hang out with Grand Uma and let her feed him marshmellows. After some time, Jayden felt comfortable enough to wade in the water with his cousin, Carson.

Double Trouble

Brushing your teeth is much more fun when you have a friend to get wet with. Brushing your teeth is neither a dry nor a quiet routine with Jayden and Carson

Baker's Man

Jayden is a big fan of baking and cooking. He is always wanting to lend a hand with the baking especially when it involves sugar cookies.

Happy Father's Day!

Father's Day brought a whole new adventure. Rather then showering Eric with yet another tie, Jayden and I decided that we would make Daddy King for the day. He got to decide what we were going to do all day. He opted for hiking at a place called Brasstown Bald. It is the highest point in Georgia. We attempted to hike this earlier in the year, but Jayden had the blow out of the century (nice, I know) and of course we did not bring a pull up on the trail with us. So we made it half way up and turned around.

This round went much better. We, Eric and I, hike all the way up. Jayden had great intentions, as you can see on his face, but after about 20 feet he flopped on the ground all tuckered out. Daddy carried him the rest of the way. It was a beautiful view at the top. We hiked back down and had a great picnic at the base.

Tag! You're It, Uncle Wayne!

April brought Passover time. Uncle Wayne invited us to join him at Passover. It was a beautiful service put on by an Adventist-Jewish group in the area.

We took Jayden on a walk around the gardens at the retirement center, which quickly turned into a game of tag. Poor Uncle Wayne had no idea Jayden's game of tag could last so long. Jayden had a blast!

Easter Party at Czaykowsky's

The Czaykowsky family has a big Easter party every year. They are the parents of one of Dawna's students. Jayden had a wonderful time! There were chicks to hold, bunnies, cows, and many other animals to pet. Jayden even got to ride a pony. He had a lot of fun hunting Easter eggs with his friends. He and his friend Kendall even got to chase a goat all over the place. What an adventure!

Spring Break at Great Grampy's

It was a lot of fun to take Jayden to see his Great Grampy and Great Grammy. Jayden warmed right up to Great Grampy. Great Grammy took him sledding in the back yard which was great until he crashed. The best thing of all was Grampy's closet in the den. He spent the majority of the time pretending it was his "elebator" known as an elevator to every one else but Jayden. We went out to eat, dropped by Uncle Lorne's shop, and went to sabbath school. It was a wonderful week!

Dinosaur Hunt at Spring Fling

We had a great time at the Spring Fling at Jayden's school. Jayden had a blast jumping on the jumpy thing...I think it is called the Moon Walk. Ms. Ashely, one of Jayden's very special teachers helped Jayden find the prized egg with the $1 in it.

Best Buddies

Two pals walking into the sunset. I would love to know what they were saying to each other.
Jayden and Carson really hit it off. They had a blast running around everywhere. They enjoyed dancing to Jesus Loves Me, playing in the Thomas the Train tent, and eating their weight in pizza. Even after Jayden left, they still like chatting on the phone to eachother. The last phone conversation went something like this: "Hey Carson! What's up? I have a choo-choo train." This was followed up with a series of chattering that nobody including Carson could understand. Aunt Debbie said that Carson kept asking, "Mommy, what he say?" New Years was certainly the start of a terrific friendship.

Josh and Jayden

New Years in Florida

Eric had Southern Union Pastor's meetings in Daytona, Florida just after New Years. We took an extra few days and went down to Orlando to see the Curren side of the family. It was so much fun. Jayden, Carson, and Josh had a great time playing together. We went to wonderful petting zoo in Kissemmee. It is a whole new world when you have 2 two year olds running around the house. There was never a dull moment. The days were full of singing, screaming, jumping, running, and laughing. It was good to spend the holidays with both sets of family.

Story time with Uncle Tim

Christmas at the Stubbert's

Christmas was amazing! We enjoyed having the Stubbert/Knittle side of the family at our house for the holidays. We enjoyed hanging out around the house, going to the Atlanta Children's museum, and playing games. It was good to see Jayden get reaquainted with Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Tim, Aunt Kim, Kaitlyn, and Uncle Wayne. Jayden loved playing games with Grandma and watching movies with Cousin Kaitlyn.
