"I love my choo-choo"

Jayden LOVES trains. He has a little train set that he has a blast with. Anything Thomas the Train makes him happy. Grandma Jayne gave him a Thomas blanket last Christmas. He has named it "Thomas". When we were at Fontana, we saw a table set up with a wooden Thomas train set. He could have stayed there all day. Tonight he was playing with his trains and said, "I love my choo-choo."
Fontana Fun!

I had a long weekend over the 19th. We took off to Fontana, North Carolina. You can't help but relax at Fontana. There weren't any phones, tv's, internet, or cell service. It was wonderful to just play with Jayden, enjoy the fall colors, and read. Jayden spent the day playing with his blocks. We went for a long walk. Jayden loved running around the overlook of Fontana Dam. We walked around the camp. There was a beautiful, little church with a garden. Each plant had a meaningful bible verse. There were speakers that would played the Lord's Prayer in th Jewish language. The highlight of the trip for both Jayden and I was Bryson City, NC and Dillsboro. Jayden is big into trains...Thomas the Train more specifically. The Great Smokies Railroad runs thru a lot of the small towns. Jayden loved walking around the trains yelling, "Choo-Choo"! I have been reading a book about a doctor in Bryson City. We got to drive around town and see all the little places the author was talking about.

Hillcrest Orchards

Eric and I decided to take Jayden to celebrate our first true fall season at Hillcrest Orchards. It is located in the mountains of Ellijay, Georgia. Hillcrest is a working apple orchard that provided Jayden with many adventures. There was a cow for Jayden to milk...he only wanted to pat the cow. We went to the petting zoo where he pet baby chicks, kittens, puppies, cows, and sheep. He survived many an attempt by goats to nibble on his hat, shoes, jacket, hair, and hand. There was quite a large slide that Jayden went down by himself, which gave his mother a heart attack. Eric was supposed to go down with him, but before he could sit down, Jayden had already pushed off and was down the slide. We finished the day up with a horse drawn wagon ride and some fresh apple pie.

Our New Home

We are almost through our first nine weeks of school. We are getting into a routine that is somewhat normal. We love Atlanta. We have made great friends, and we both enjoy our jobs. Our new home is a big hit with both young, kinda old, and animal. Jayden loves to play and run in the house. He has a lot more room to be a boy. The dogs love the back yard and the dog door that allows them to hide out in the garage anytime they please. Once Eric gets his bookshelves in I don't think I will get him out of the office. I, however, am a big fan of my new bathtub. We have plenty of room for visitors. Please come and visit anytime.
